As a result of this training participants will be able to:
- Discuss the newest guidelines to prevent perinatal infection
- Identify and discuss pregnancy options for HIV+/HIV- couples
- Explain the benefits of HIV testing to pregnant clients or clients wishing to become pregnant
- Address and discuss substance abuse and HIV treatment with pregnant clients or clients wishing to become pregnant
- Discuss harm and risk reduction options during conception and pregnancy
- Identify resources for addressing mother-to-child transmission
