Richard W. Joseph Endowment Fund

Richard W JosephThe AIDS Council of Northeastern New York Richard W. Joseph Memorial Endowment Fund was established in memory of Richard W. Joseph, Executive Director of the AIDS Council from 1994 through 1999. The Fund is a Board Designated Endowment which serves to enhance the AIDS Council’s ability to continue Mr. Joseph’s legacy of excellence in HIV related prevention and the belief that education serves as a tool for client self-determination.

The Richard W. Joseph Memorial Endowment Fund has been established to honor Mr. Joseph’s memory and to continue the crucial, life-saving and life-enhancing work to which he was so dedicated.

The Richard W. Joseph Memorial Endowment Fund supports educational advancement for our clients and specialized training for our Prevention Services staff members, while also providing resources to further the AIDS Council’s HIV prevention efforts. The Endowment Fund may cover tuition or the cost of books and other materials to assist a client to obtain a degree, continuing education classes for clients to obtain licensure or return to work, training for staff in innovative HIV prevention methodologies, and expenses associated with new and innovative HIV prevention and outreach programs which stem the spread of HIV infection.

Gifts may be made in cash, stock, bonds, insurance, wills and trusts or through other deferred giving vehicles. Pledges made over a period of time will be allowed, although the AIDS Council requests that this not be greater than five years.

Donors to the Endowment Fund receive public credit in agency Annual Reports and in honor lists prominently displayed in our main office throughout the life of the Fund.
